HOME ESCAPE PLAN

Protect your loved ones and save lives!
Every Family should have a well rehearsed fire escape plan.

1. Get your family together, draw a picture showing how everyone can get out of the house.
4. Go directly to your assembly place.
Under no circumstances go back into the home.
2. Check all windows open freely and can
be used to get outside safely.
5. Mum or Dad will phone the Fire Brigade
from your neighbours home.
3. Choose an agreed assembly place for
your family outside your home.
6. Remember - If your clothes catch on
fire cover your face with both hands and . . .
Stop - Drop - Roll

IF THERE IS A FIRE IN YOUR HOME . . .

1. Get down low and go, go, go. Yell and
bang on the walls to let your family know.
2. Feel closed doors,if hot. . . Do Not Open.
Look for another way out or wait at the window for the
Fire Brigade. Never Hide.
If your clothes catch fire . . .

Until the flames go out!
